Yes it is true. To visualize and absorb information from our everyday life an official visual system is present in our body which works in a pathway starting from the cornea of the lens that focuses on the image and impress that image to the retina - A light sensitive layer present at the back of the eye. These light signals are then transduced into neuronal signals and sent to the brain which sends signals and impression of the image becomes visual and we can see it clearly!
