The ratioof two adjacent sides of a parallelogram is 5:2 and its perimeter is 42 CM. find the sides of
the parallelogram. ​

let the adjacent sides be 5x and 2x

since, opposite side of parallelogram are equal

hence, sum of all sides of parallelogram = 5x + 2x + 5x + 2x

=14x

Given, perimeter of parallelogram = 42cm

Now, 14x = 42cm

x = 42/14

x = 3cm

Therefore, the length of the sides of parallelogram are 15cm, 6cm, 15cm, and 6cm respectively.
