The ratios of height of two cylinders is 3:2 and the ratio of their radius is 6:7. What is the ratio of their
curved surface area ?

Let r 1 and r 2 be the radii of the cylinders respectively.

r1/r2 = 6/7

Let h 1 and h 2 be the heights of the cylinders respectively.

⇒ h 1/h2 =3/2

Ratio of Curved surface areas= (2πr 1h1)/(2πr2h2)

=(r1h1)/(r2h2)

= ( 6×3)/(7×2)

=18/14

=9/7

Hence,ratio of their curved surface area is 9:7
