The reaction of benzene with HOCl in presence of an acid produces organic compound A. A on treatment with NaNH2 / liquid NH3 give another compound B. B on treatment with HBF4 affords an organic compound C which on heating with NaNO2 gives organic compound D. Identify A, B, C and D.

 first step HO-Cl will break as OH(-ve) and Cl(+ve),but since medium is acidic,OH will be taken by H+ to form water.and Cl+ will attack on Benzene and chlorobenzene will be formed next it's reacts with NaNH2/liq.NH3, to undergo birch reduction to form X.now this reacts with HBF4 to give BF4 joint on the place of Cl.And at last it reacts with nano2 and heat to form Y
