current I in circuit I=\frac{v}{r} =\frac{20}{400} \\\\=0.05\\

potential difference across R i  

{ total voltage-  voltage across 400                                            ohms resistace  (80-20)}=60 V

(since total voltage =80 V)

Resistance R=V/I

\frac{60}{0.05} \\\\=1200 ohms

Resistance R=1200 ohms
