The reading of voltmeter in the circuit shown is
(3) 4.25 V
(1) 2.25 V
(2) 3.25 V
(4) 6.25 V

Answer:

Let R1 = 40 ohm

R2 = 60 ohm

Equivalent Resistance R = R1 + R2

= 40 +60 = 100 ohm.

Given

V= 6 V

According to Ohm law

V= IR

  • I = V/R
  • I = 6/ 100
  • I = .06 A

For 60 ohm Resistor

I = 0.06 A

R= 60 ohm

Ohm s law

V = IR

= 0.06× 60

= 3.6 V

Hence the reading of the voltmeter is = 3.6 v
