Muhammad bin Tughlaq's projects were a fail as he did not think of the future but instead tried to postpone the problem. He gathered a large army for a war, but disbanded it when he couldn't pay them. He also transferred a huge number of citizens to Daulatabad to utilize the town as a garrison when he could have built a garrison fort for much less expense.
P.S. he is also known as the 'wise fool'.

Answer:
The following are the reasons why Muhammad bin Tughlaq's projects failed.
Explanation:
- His administrative initiatives were implemented at an inopportune time.
- For example, at a period of famine in the Doab region, he increased land taxes to fifty percent of the yield.
- People were unable to make payments, sparking an uprising.
- He moved his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad which was more centrally positioned in order to rule southern and northern India.
- However, he soon realised that managing the northern half of his empire from Daulatabad, a city in the far south, was problematic.
- Tanka, a form of token money devised by Muhammad Tughlaq, was a fiasco.
- Over time, forged handcrafted coins supplanted silver money. As a result, there was a financial loss.
Hence we conclude that due to the above points Muhammad bin failed the tughlaqs projects.
