water which is near the fire gets heated up faster and becomes lighter, and rises up. The other cold water around rushes to take the place of hot water. This process is repeated till water gets equally heated in the container and thus a circular motion is produced.

Answer:The water which is closer to the flame gets heated first and thus rises up and the cooler water comes to its place and gets heated up and rises. Again the water at the top comes near the flame causing a circular motion. This circular motion of water during boiling is called CONVECTION.
