Therefore total cost to build the wall is = 1,139,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that , the rectangular compound wall of a house measure 20 m long, 15 m broad , 5 m high and 12 cm=0.12 m thick.

The surface area of the wall is

=2(length×height+broad×height)

=2×height (length+broad)

The volume of the wall

=2×height (length+broad)×thickness

= 2×5(20+15)×0.12 m³

=42 m³

=42×10⁶ cm³

The dimension of brick is 15 cm×10 cm× 5 cm.

The volume of one brick =(15×10×5) cm³

                                         =750 cm³

The number of brick required to make the wall

=\frac{\textrm{volume of wall}}{\textrm{volume of one brick}}

=\frac{42\times 10^6}{750}

=56000

Given that the rate of cost of brick is Rs. 20,000 per thousand brick.

Therefore the cost of one brick is =Rs.\frac{20000}{1000}  = Rs. 20.

The cost of 56000 brick is = Rs.(56000×20) =Rs.1,120,000

5 days is required for labour to finish the work charges Rs. 950 per labour per day.

Total lobour charge =Rs. (5×4×950)

                                 =Rs. 19,000

Therefore total cost to build the wall is

= cost price of 56,000 brick + lobour charge

=Rs.(1,120,000+19,000)

=Rs.1,139,000
