\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Answer :-}}}}

The area of the Path is 170 m².

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Explanation :-}}}}

Given :

Rectangular Ground's Length = 78 m

Breadth of the Rectangle = 5 m

Width of the Path = 1 m

To Find :

The area of the Path

Solution :

Area of the Path = Area of Bigger Rectangle - Area of smaller Rectangle

\rule{300}{1.5}

Area of the Smaller Rectangle :

\boxed{\sf{Area = Length \times Breadth}}

\sf{\implies} \: 78 \times 5

\sf{\implies} \: 390

Area of the Smaller Rectangle = 390 sq.m

\rule{300}{1.5}

Area of the Bigger Rectangle :

\boxed{\sf{Area = Length \times Breadth}}

Length = 78 + (1 + 1) = 80

Breadth = 5 + (1 + 1) = 7

\sf{\implies} \: 80 \times 7

\sf{\implies} \: 560

The Area of the Bigger Rectangle is 560 sq.m

\rule{300}{1.5}

Area of the Path :

\sf{\implies} \: 560 - 390

\sf{\implies} \: 170

\therefore The area of the Path is 170 m².

Answer:

Area of the Path = 170 m²

===============================

Area of the Rectangle =

==> 78 × 5

==> 390 m²

Area of the new Rectangle =

==> (78 + 2) × (5 + 2)

==> 80 × 7

==> 560 m²

===============================

Area of the Path =

==> 560 - 390

==> 170

Area of the Path = 170 m²
