The rectangular land area of suhas is 500 sqm . if the length the land is reduce by 3 m and the width is increased by 2 m , the land becomes square . I write by calculating the length and width of the land of suhas .

In case of rectangle: l×b=500m²----(1).

If l becomes l-3 and b becomes b+2 then they are the sides of square which are equal.

so,

l-3=b+2

l-b=2+3

l=b+5.------(2)

By substituting (2) in (1):

=> (b+5)×b=500

=> b²+5b-500=0

=> b²+25b-20b-500=0

=> b(b+25)-20(b+25)=0

=> (b+25)×(b-20)=0

=> b=20m.-----(3)

Again by substituting (3) in (2)

=> l=b+5

=> l=20+5

=> l=25m.

The lenght and breadth of rectangular land is 25m and 20m respectively.
