The atomic number of chloriene is 17, we need to double it and add 1.5 for every we add 2 but like this and some we do like this we get 35.5

The atomic number of chlorine (cl) is 17

Atomic weight = 17 x 2 + 1.5 = 35.5


1.5 should be added for every odd number element and is not mandatory
