We can write a polynomial in the form:p(x) = d(x)q(x) + r(x) Note: Degree of a polynomial is the highest power of x in that polynomial
Now, d(x) is the divisor, q(x) is the quotient and r(x) is the remainder. degree of r(x) is always one less than that of d(x).
So here, d(x) = b - axThen r(x) should be a constant, let's say C, because degree of d(x) is 1, so degree of r(x) should be 0 i.e. A CONSTANT.
