Given :

A polynomial x⁴+x³ - 2x² + x + 1 .

To Find :

Remainder when x⁴+x³ - 2x² + x + 1 is divided by x-1

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{x-1=0}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{x=1}

Now , Putting x = 1 :

\longmapsto\tt{{(1)}^{4}+{(1)}^{3}-2{(1)}^{2}+x+1}

\longmapsto\tt{1+1-2(1)+1+1}

\longmapsto\tt{1+1-2+1+1}

\longmapsto\tt{2-2+1+1}

\longmapsto\tt{0+2}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{2}

So , The Remainder is 2 .
