"The resistance of a conductor is 1 ohm". what is meant by this statement?

one ampere of current is flowing per volt

If we applied a potential of 1 volt on the two parts of a conductor and get 1 amp current so we will call that the conductor has a resistance 1 ohm.

1 ohm=1 volt/1 amp
