Solution:
A voltmeter is always connected in parallel with a circuit since voltage remains constant in parallel connection.
However, when voltmeter is connected in parallel, some current of circuit might flow through voltmeter thus changing the current in circuit.
In order to avoid this, an ideal voltmeter has infinite resistance so that it opposes any kind of current flowing through it.
However, practically infinite resistance is not possible.
Hence, resistance of voltmeter should be as high as possible to avoid any error in current of circuit.
