the resistance of two conductor in series is 40 ohm & the resistance 6.4 ohm when connected in parallel. Find the resistance of individual conductor

Req in series = R1+R2=40+4+=80ohm
a resistance of 6.4 ohm is connected in parallel then 
then Req=R1R2/R!+R2
Req=80*6.4/80+6.4
=8*64/86.4
=5.92 ohm
approximately 6 ohm  is the net resistance of this individual circuit
