The resistance per metre length of a wire is 10 Ohm if the resistivity e of the material of the wire is 50 * 10 -8 ohmmeter find the area of of cross section off the wire

Length =1m

Resistivity, rho=50x10^-8ohmmeter

Resistance,R=10 ohm

According to the formula.,

Resistance, R=rho x length /Area

10=50 x 10^-8/area

Area=50 x 10-8/10

=10 x 10^-8meter square
