The resistivity of copper is 1.7×10^-8 ohm.
(a) what length of copper wire of diameter 0.1mm will have a resistance of 34ohm.
(b) another copper wire of the same length but of half the diameter as the first is take. what is the ratio of its resistance to that of the first wire.

Explanation:

resistivity- 1.76*01^-8 ohm m

r= 1mm = 1* 10^-3 m

R= 10.5 ohm

l= ?

Area= pie* r^2

= 3.14*10^-6

R= rho*l/Area

l = RA/rho

= 10.5*3.14*10^-6/ 1.76*10^-8

= 1873.2 m
