Let the number be x.
So three times the number is 3x.
adding five ----
3x + 5. ......(i).

Four times the number is 4x.
Subtracting 10 from it...
4x - 10 . ......(ii).

According to the question....
eq. (I) and (ii) are equal......
soo...

3x + 5 = 4x - 10
4x - 3x = 5+10
x = 15.


Hence the number is 15.
