Summary on the Rime of the Ancient Mariner:

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is where the narrator, Ancient mariner narrates the story to a wedding guest who seems to be not interested. He begins his story by a tale where he started sailing with his fellows which turned to awful when they reached the equator. The storms that arose pushed their ship to rime where they met an albatross. They fed the albatross and albatross moved in front in direction of the wind.

Out of impulse, Ancient mariner shoots the albatross, thereby the winds stop and he is considered as a hero. But situations changed and Sun began to be hot and they started to be thirsty. The mariner was further cursed by his fellows. Through this journey, he sees another ship but finds out it’s a ghost ship. He is being held responsible for this and bestows as being cursed. He is tied to the neck with the albatross.

Finally, a boat came with a pilot, pilots son and a hermit. But their ship sank and the hermit was able to rescue the mariner. The mariner tells the story to the hermit which makes hermit better and absolves him from this curse by telling him to narrate this story to the people, his instinct relies to. Thereby, the ancient mariner still narrates this story to different strangers out of instinct.
