1-The Indian Nationalism emerged when the Hindu and Muslim leaders noticed that British is interfering in every single matter.

2-They started abolishing Indian culture from the education system

3-They started interfering in the religious customs of Hindu and Muslims

4-They employed divide and rule policy to create distance between Muslims and Hindus

5-All these brought the people of sub-continent to one page and they struggled for freedom. So the struggles for freedom brought the idea of nationalism in the country.
