The risk of flooding in India Peninsular rivers is very low because of the following reasons:-

  1. The rivers in the peninsular region doesn't flow for the whole year, and sometimes even it gets, completely dried up.
  2. The level of the water is not dependent on the, amount of rainfall, it is independent for it's region, through which it flows.
  3. One of the most important reason for low chance of flooding is because of, the plateau region where the rivers flow from.
