The risk of flooding in India Peninsular rivers is very low because of the following reasons:-
- The rivers in the peninsular region doesn't flow for the whole year, and sometimes even it gets, completely dried up.
- The level of the water is not dependent on the, amount of rainfall, it is independent for it's region, through which it flows.
- One of the most important reason for low chance of flooding is because of, the plateau region where the rivers flow from.
