Curiosity rover on mars soil has two type of radiation detectors.

They are

RAD- Radiation Assessment Detectors

DAN- Dynamic Albedo of Neutrons

RAD was appointed to collects the data of dosage of radiation to which people are about to expose during the future mars exploration.

DAN was appointed to collects the data of presence of hydrogen molecule. If there is hydrogen there will be water under the surface of mars either in form of ice of water holding minerals.

Hence the correct answer for your question is option (D)- To investigate evidence of hydrogen and water.
