Vrms = √[3RT/M]
⇒ (300)² = 3*8.314*T / 0.004
⇒ (90000 * 0.004) / 24.942 = T
⇒ T = 14.43 K
Thus,
The total kinetic energy of 8 g of He gas is,
= 3/2 * nRT
= 3/2 * 2 * 8.314 * 14.43
= 719.82 / 2
= 359.91
= 360 Joules
