5x² + 10x -7 = 0

x² + 10/5 x - 7/5 = 0

x² +2x = 7/5

x² + 2x +1 = 1+7/5

(x +1)² = 12/5

take square root both sides

x + 1 = ± 2√3/√5

x = -1 ± 2√3/√5

=( -√5 ±2√3)/√5
