The rule for changing the past indefinite and past perfect tense into indirect speech, is same. So if somebody ask us to reconvert the sentence into direct speech then in which tense we would speak it? Past simple or past perfect?
e.g He said,"I went" and He said,"I had gone"
Both of them have same indirct speech i.e He said that he had gone.
So if body ask us to reconvert it into direct speech then what would be oue answer. The former one or the latter one?
