Let the original salary of an officer = ₹ 100
Salary increased of the officer = 25 %
New salary = 25 % of 100 + 100
New salary = (25 × 100)÷100 + 100
New salary = 2500 ÷ 100 + 100
New salary = 25 + 100
New salary = 125
Now x % of 125 = 25
(x × 100) ÷ 125 = 25
125x ÷ 100 = 25
x = (25 × 100) ÷ 125
x = 2500 ÷ 125
x = 20 %
Salary increased of the officer = 25 %
New salary = 25 % of 100 + 100
New salary = (25 × 100)÷100 + 100
New salary = 2500 ÷ 100 + 100
New salary = 25 + 100
New salary = 125
Now x % of 125 = 25
(x × 100) ÷ 125 = 25
125x ÷ 100 = 25
x = (25 × 100) ÷ 125
x = 2500 ÷ 125
x = 20 %
