The same amount of current is passing through two conductors P and Q. Conductor P caused more obstruction to the flow of current as compared to Q. Which among the two will get heat up more?

Conductor P will heat up more because the electrons flowing in P will collide more frequently with the ions in P creating friction and heat whereas Q provides less obstruction so electrons in Q will pass more swiftly and therefore less friction and heat will be produced in Q
