Let the total T-shirts be x : then,

30 % of x = 120

(30/100)x = 120
x = 400

Hene the band sell 400 T-shirts in all

Hi there !!

Lets assume that :

Total no: of T -Shirts sold as "a"

Given :

30% of total shirts sold is = 120 shirts

30/100 a = 120

3/10a = 120

a = 120 × 10/3

a = 1200/3

a = 400

∴ Total shirts sold = 400
