Answer: The Treaty of Mangalore in 1784
Explanation:
The Second Anglo-Mysore war ended with The Treaty of Mangalore 1784.
Soon after the capture of the French port of Mahé in 1779 by the British , Hyder Ali, the Mysorean ruler openedly showed his displeasure against the British. Initially he tasted success during his early outing but as the war continued the Britishers were able to regain some of the lost territories.
Soon in 1780 the war widened when Britain declared war on the Republic of Dutch. This prompted both Britain and France to send naval squadrons and troops from Europe to help in the war.
When the news of peace broke out between Britain and France in 1783, the French soon withdrew its support from the Mysorean war. The British too wanted to bring an end to the conflict . Soon the British government directed the East India Company to go for peace with Mysore. This led to the Treaty of Mangalore in 1784.
Hope this helps.
