The second ionisation enthalpy of calcium is more that of first and yet calcium forms MgCl2 not MgCL. Why?? don't copied it from google give me perfect answer??

The second ionization enthalpy of calcium is more than of first and get Calcium from MgCl2 but not mgcl this is because after removing two electrons from MG it acquires table noble gas configuration or into other words the higher enthalpy of lattice formation of mg to is more than the lower formation of mg.

THE SECOND IONIZATION ENTALAPY OF CALCIUM IS MORE THAN THAT OF FIRST BECAUSE AFTER REMOVING TWO ELECTRONS FROM MG IT AQUIRES TABLE NOBLE GAS CONFIGURATION .
