HLO MATE HERE IS UR ANSWER

. REASON

. In a neutral atom the no .of electrons is equal to number of protons .

. But in a uni positive ion the munber of protons is greater than the number of electrons

. So the nucleus of unipositive ion attracts the outer electrons with more force that the nucleus of its neutral atom

. so second ionisation enthalpy is greater than the first ionisation enthalpy

HOPE THIS WILL HELP U

Answer:

Electron is more tightly bound by the nucleus in an cation (i.e M+) as the number of proton remains the same as in neutral atom whereas number of electron is one less than the proton. ... So, second ionization enthalpy is always higher than the first ionisation enthalpy for every element
