Weight refers to the pull of earth due to gravitational pull which acts perpendicular to it.

W=mg

Here, M=50 kg and g=10 m/s^2

W=50*10=500 N

Note: You can also take the value of g=9.8 m/s^2.

Mass=50kg

We actually measure mass in kgf

f=acceleration caused due to gravity

=9.8m/s

Weight = 50×9.8

=490 N
