Answer:

Treaty of Versailles

Explanation:

World War I ended in an armistice which then led to the treaty of Versailles which imposed harsh punishments to the Central Powers. This includes war reparations and disarnament of the military of the losing side. These led to massive unemployment and hyperinflation in the 1920's leading to growing discontent on the part of the Germans. Several political parties sprout out such as Communist and a certain National Socialist Party that promised to restore Germany to it's former glory. Eventually the Nazi party were able to take control of Germany and undid the conditions of the treaty of Versailles. They also become agressive in its policies which ultimately culmulated in the Invasion of Poland in 1939 thus rendering France and the United Kingdom to declare war on Germany thus starting World War II.
