Answer:

Let the cost price of 1 spoon =Rs.1

So, cost price of 16 spoon =Rs.16

SP of 15 spoon =Rs.15

From the question,

Selling price of 16 pens = cost price of 15 spoons

Loss =(CP)−(SP)

=(16−15)

=Rs.1

Loss %={(Loss/CP)×100}

={(1/16)×100}

={100/16}

=6.25%

=6(1/4)%

Answer:

Let the SP of 1 spoon be ₹100

thus, SP of 15 such spoons = 15×100=₹1500

Given,

SP of 15 spoons = CP of 12 spoons

₹1500 = ₹1500

now, CP of 12 spoons= 1500

thus, CP of 1 spoon = 1500÷12 =₹ 125

also, SP of 12 such spoons = 12 × 100 = ₹1200

here CP of such 12 spoons = ₹1500

therefore, CP < SP.

THUS ITS A LOSS OF (CP-SP) = (1500-1200)= ₹300

loss percent= 300÷1500×100 =20 percent.
