The force between the plates remains unchanged.

- The force between the plates of a parallel plate capacitor is given by :

F= q²/2Aε₀

where :

q = magnitude of charge of each plate

A = area of each plate

- Hence, it is clear that the force between the plates of a parallel plate capacitor does not depend upon the separation 'd' between the plates.

- So it remains the same.
