P = {a,b,c}

Q = {1,2,3}

Yes! Here A & B are disjoint sets as well as equivalent too. We can represent equivalency as follows.. Equivalent sets are the sets with the same cardinal number.

Concept:

Two sets are disjoint, if they have no element in common. Set A and set B are disjoint since there is no common element in them.

Equivalent sets have different elements but have the same amount number of elements.

Given:

Two sets S={a,b,c,} and P={1,2,3}

To find:

We need to find the possible values of a, b, c

Solution:

Now, we know what a disjoint set means therefore

a ∈ I-{1}

b ∈ I-{2}

c ∈ I-{3}

Therefore any numbers that satisfies the above equation are the values of a, b and c

Also since number of sets in Number of elements in S and P are same therefore they are equivalent sets.
