The sexual division of labour is social and not biological because females are capable of doing the roles of what males would 'usually' do. Although it is scientifically proven that females have less average muscle mass than men, this does not mean that they can't do what men can do. This fact is often used as an excuse to exclude females from doing the roles of men in labour. Therefore the sexual division of labour is a  social and not biological division.
