the shaded portion of the figure given along side ,shows two concentric circles . if the circumference of two circle be 396 cm and 374cm find the area of the shaded portion

area of the ring = 22/7×(396×7/22)^2-22/7×(374×7/22)^2
=5390

First of all you take out the radius of both concentric circles .Then, find the area of both the circles and at last minus the area of second concentric circle from the first concentric circle.
That will be the area of the shaded portion.
