1) Length of the lawn is 26 sq m.
Breadth of the lawn is 10 sq m .

2) Area of the flower beds is 100 sq m .
Check the photo for process.

HOPE THIS WILL HELP AND PLZ MARK THIS AS BRAINLIST.

Sushkh: Hey Why there are two -2 and-2 ,30-2-2 because only one sided flowering areas are there
Anuragseth: yes
Sushkh: Can You Please Explain Why??
Anuragseth: As to find the length of lawn , From the total length , I subtracted the 4 cm from the total length
Sushkh: Okay
Sushkh: Why 2cm was not subtracted
Anuragseth: As to find the length ,to find the breadth, I had subtracted 2 cm from 12 cm

The length is 26 m and breadth is 10 m of the lawn.

The area of the flower bed is 100 sq. m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Length of the plot = 30 m

Breadth of the plot = 12 m

We have to find the dimension and area of the lawn.

Solving for Part 1.

Width of flower bed = 2 m

Since the lawn has flower beds around its three sides.

Two sides along its width and one side along its length.

So, Length of the lawn can be calculated by subtracting two times of width of flower bed from length of the plot.

This can be framed in equation form as;

Length =30-2\times2=30-4=26\ m

Hence The length of the lawn is 26 m.

And Breadth of the lawn can be calculated by subtracting width of flower bed from breadth of the plot.

This can be framed in equation form as;

Breadth =12-2=10\ m

Hence The breadth of the lawn is 10 m.

Solving for Part 2.

Area of the flower bed can be calculated by subtracting area of lawn from area of plot.

Area of Plot = length\times breadth

On substituting the values, we get;

Area of Plot = 30\times 12=360\ m^2

Area of lawn= 26\times 10=260\ m^2

Now,

Area of flower bed = Area of Plot - Area of lawn

Area of flower bed = 360-260=100\ m^2

Hence The area of the flower bed is 100 sq. m.
