The shape of the cardboard is a trapezium. Find its area if its parallel sides are 2 m and 2.4 m and perpendicular distance between them is 0.16 m.​

Given : Parallel Side of Trapezium (a) = 2m

             Parallel Side of Trapezium (b) = 2.4m

             Perpendicular Distance (h) = 0.16m

To Find : Area of Trapezium (A)

Solution :  Area of Trapezium A = h(a+b)/2

                  A = 0.16(2+2.4)/2

                  A = 0.8(4.4)m

                  A = 8(4.4)/10

                  A = 8(44)/100

                  A = 352/100

                  A = 3.52m
