The sharing of power between the union govt. and state govt. is a form of vertical power sharing which is also followed by the Indian constitution as it has been stated in the constitution that there will be state governments in the state levels to assure proper governance and the state government in India will be subordinate to the central one.

The work limits of state and union governments is also prescribed in our constitution.
