Answer: b)16

Step-by-step explanation:Let the no of chocolates = x = x / 12 dozen

Price of x/12 dozen is Rs. 12

So price of 1 dozen is 144/x

Now we can also use the Second Condition:

144 / (x+2)  + 1 = 144 / x

x = 16

Let the no of chocolates = x

In case of saying in dozen,

1 dozen = 12 nos

⇒ Number of chocolates = x/12

Given,

  • Price of x/12 dozen = Rs 12

So,

  • Price of 1 dozen =  144/x

[144/(x+2)] + 1 = 144/x

⇒ x = 16

Number of chocolates received = 16 chocolates(b)
