The MRP of the jacket is 1500

The shopkeeper sold it at a discount of 30%

We have to calculate the selling price.

  • 30% of 1500 can be calculated as

= 30 % × 1500

=\frac{30}{100} * 1500

= 450

  • The discount when subtracted from MRP will give the selling price

So, selling price = 1500 - 450

                            =1050

The price at which he sold the jacket was ₹ 1,050

From the given question the correct answer is:

the selling price of jacket is 1050.

Given :

MRP=1500

Discount Given =30%

To find:

selling price S.P of jacket

Solution:

given that the MRP of jacket is 1500 and the discount given on the MRP is 30%,

Now, we have to find the selling price of the jacket.

so first, we have to find the discount Rs. on 1500

    the discount Rs. on 1500 = 1500 × 30%

                                                 = 1500×\frac{30}{100}

                                                 =450

the discount Rs. on 1500 is 450 Rs.

Now subtract the discount price from the MRP

S.P= MRP - discount

     =1500-450

     = 1050

Hence,the selling price of jacket is 1050.
