- Let ABCD is a parallelogram
- Let AB=x m
- Adjacent side BC=(x+2.5) m
- Now,
- CD=AB=x m [Opposite sides of parallelogram are equal]
- And AD=BC=(x+2.5) m [Opposite sides of parallelogram are equal]
- Perimeter =AB+BC+CD+AD
- ⇒51=x+x+2.5+x+x+2.5
- ⇒51=4x+5
- ⇒4x=51−5
- ⇒4x=46
- ⇒x=
- 4
- 46
- ⇒x=11.5 m
- So,
- AB=CD=11.5 m
- and BC=AD=11.5+2.5=14 m
