Given:

Wavelength = 0.33 cm

To find:

Frequency = ?

Formula:

The relation between frequency and wavelength is given by,

c = n  \ lambda

Solution:

The relation between frequency and wavelength is given by,

c = n  \ lambda

where c = speed of light = 3 ×  10^{8}    \frac{m}{s}

 \lambda = wavelength emitted in air

n = frequency

Thus,  n = \frac{c}{\lambda}

 n = \frac{3\times10^{8}}{0.33\times 10^{-2}}

n = 9.09  \times 10^{10}  Hertz

thus, highest frequency emitted by bat is 9.09 \times 10^{10} Hertz

The shortest wavelength in air emitted by a bat,

Wavelength = lemda = 0.33 cm = 0.33 x 10^-4 m

V = frequency * wavelength

You haven’t mentioned the velocity. If you have the value then just put in the equation with,

Frequency = v / wavelength

Frequency = v / (33 x 10^-4) Hz
