all other units are called derived units because those units are derived from the basic fundamental units .

for pressure -

pressure = force/area

force = mass * acceleration

N= kgm/s^2

area= m^2

Pascal= N/m^2

Pascal = kgm/s^2 m^2

Pascal = kg/ms^2

so it's derived from basic units hence it's called derived units
