Let the edge of the cube be 4

Then edge of the new cube formed = 2×4

= 8

Surface area of original cube = 6x^2

Surface area of the new cube

when edge Is doubled = 6(2x)^2

Surface area of new cube be 4× surface of original cube

4× 96
