The side of a rhombus is 5 cm. If the length of one diagonal of the rhombus is 8 cm, then find the length of the other diagonal.​

All the sides of rhombus are 5

Divide the rhombus in two parts by its diagonal of 8 cm

There will be two triangle

Sides of the triangle are 5,5 and 8

Use Heron formula to calculate the area of the triangle

It becomes 12

Then the area of rhombus =2*12=24=(1/2)×d1×d2

=(1/2)×8×d2

d2=6 Ans
